Gigabyte brings Alder Lake-P to its BRIX Extreme mini PCs

Gigabyte has introduced a new set of BRIX Extreme mini PCs powered by 28-watt, 12th-gen Intel Alder Lake-P series processors with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.

Gigabyte offers models with Core i3-1220P, Core i5-1240P and Core i7-1260P processor options, and each version features a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, two SODIMM slots for up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, and support for up to four displays thanks to HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0a, Mini DisplayPort 1.4a, and Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Other ports include:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • 1 x DC power input

Zotac offers slim and tall versions of the BRIX Extreme, although there’s not really that much difference in size. Slim models measure 5.4″ x 5.3″ x 1.9″ and have just a single M.2 2280 slot for PCIe Gen 4 x4 storage, while taller models 5.4″ x 5.3″ x 2″ and feature the same PCIe Gen 4 slot plus either a 2.5 inch bay for an SSD or hard drive or two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 x1 SSDs.
